Structure Fire - 10 Wharf Court

At approximately 1215 hours on April 26, 2010, Ocean Pines EMS was alerted to respond to 10 Wharf Court for a suicidal subject. While responding, Worcester Central advised that the subject had lit her house on fire. Ocean Pines Police Department was on location reporting smoke showing from the residence. The box alarm was transmitted, bringing Ocean Pines, Showell and Berlin to the scene. Captain Bill Bounds established command as the crew of Engine 1101 mounted an interior attack on the fire. Working together, crews brought the fire under control after approximately 20 minutes. The patient was transported to PRMC where she was later transferred to the burn center with facial burns.
