Earlier this week, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a gas leak on Boston Drive; Worcester Central advised a tree had fallen and uprooted a gas line. Upon arrival, units found a large pine tree into a house with an active gas leak. Sandpiper Energy was requested to the scene as well as a county building inspector to review the structural damage to the house. Once the leak was mitigated, the scene was turned over to Sandpiper Energy and the building inspector for further investigation and repairs.
REMINDER: While the beauty of our community is very important, it is just as important to address tree's that look sick or might be leaning before they become a hazard to you, pets, property etc. The OPA and the Architectural Review Committee have a form that must be completed and approval must be received prior to tree removal: REQUEST FOR TREE REMOVAL
