On the morning of June 27, 2024, at approximately 9:30 AM, the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic accident on Racetrack Road. The incident involved two vehicles and occurred near the address of 10514 Racetrack Road.
Initial reports indicated that the driver of one of the vehicles was experiencing pain in the right elbow and neck. Upon arrival, paramedics evaluated both drivers and transported one driver to Atlantic General Hospital for further evaluation.
The scene was thoroughly assessed, and it was determined that a wrecker was necessary to assist in clearing the vehicles involved. The situation was subsequently handed over to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office for further management.
The OPVFD would like to remind drivers to exercise caution and remain vigilant while on the roads to prevent accidents.
