Between 6:00 AM on Friday, January 23rd and 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 25th, the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department responded to a total of 37 emergency calls — including 25 EMS incidents and 12 fire-related calls.

During this period, crews handled:

  • 3 Working Fires

    • 2 Mutual Aid responses

    • 1 Working Fire in Ocean Pines

  • 3 Motor Vehicle Collisions

  • Numerous additional medical and service-related emergencies

These responses required multiple units, extended operations, and close coordination with our mutual aid partners and Worcester County emergency services.

We are proud of the dedication and professionalism shown by both our Volunteer and Career staff, who worked side by side throughout this busy weekend to protect our community and assist our neighbors. Their teamwork, commitment, and willingness to answer the call at all hours are what make this department strong.

Thank you to our residents for your continued support of the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department.
