At 1052 hours on Saturday, September 10, 2011, the Ocean Pines Fire Department was alerted for a residential structure fire at 34 Pintail Drive. Showell was alerted for two engines to respond. Initial units arrived to find a 2 story single family dwelling with smoke showing from the front door of the residence. Crews quickly placed an 1 3/4" handline in service and knocked the fire down, which was located in the laundry room. Command held units for smoke removal and overhaul. All units returned to service by 1200 hours.
