At 11:43pm on Sunday, December 13, 2020, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a single vehicle accident with rollover on Racetrack Rd, near Atkins Rd Spur. 1100 Paramedic 2 was first to arrive on scene and confirmed a single vehicle off the roadway with one patient out of the vehicle. Upon arriving on scene, Chief Grunewald established command and crews from Heavy Rescue 11 and Engine 1101 provided blocking to protect the scene.
The patient refused medical treatment at the time of the incident, and the scene was quickly turned over to the Maryland State Police for further investigation.
