At 8:10am on Wednesday, July 13, 2021, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a water rescue in the area of 40 Watertown Road. As crews were responding, Worcester Central advised that an individual had fallen into the water and needed assistance back onto the dock. Upon his arrival, Chief Grunewald established command and crews went to work on extricating the individual from the water. The individual was evaluated on scene and refused further medical treatment and was assisted back to his residence; command was terminated and all units returned to service.
