At 3:59am on Friday August 27, 2021, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident in the area of 1260 Ocean Parkway; Worcester Central advised that two vehicles were involved. 1st Assistant Chief Widgeon arrived on scene, established command, and confirmed the initial report. Upon further investigation, one of the vehicles involved was unoccupied and parked on the side of the road. The sole occupant of the moving vehicle was evaluated on scene and was transported to Atlantic General in Berlin. After a brief period of cleanup, the scene was turned over to the Ocean Pines Police Department for further investigation.
