At approximately 5:30pm on Wednesday March 16, 2022, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on westbound Route 90; Worcester Central advised of a single vehicle into a tree. Ocean Pines Paramedics were first on scene and confirmed all patients self-extricated from the vehicle. Upon his arrival, Chief Grunewald established command and requested the crew of Rescue 11 to begin clearing debris from the roadway and to utilize their saws to clear the downed tree. Paramedics evaluated the occupants of the vehicle on scene and both refused further treatment.
The scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police Department for further investigation.
