Ocean City, Maryland – (August 28, 2022):
On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at approximately 12:39 pm, Ocean City Fire firefighters responded to the Aventurra Condominiums for a reported fire inside a unit on the second floor. The Aventruaa Condominiums is located at 5300 Coastal Highway.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and had smoke showing. Firefighters went to the second floor and extinguished a fire inside a single condominium. The quick notification of the fire department, activation of the building fire alarm, and rapid response of firefighters resulted in the fire being contained to the area of origin.
Fire Investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal have classified the fire as accidental, and a malfunction of the dryer could not be ruled out.
Units from the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department responded and assisted on the scene.
No injuries to firefighters or civilians occurred.
