In the last 48 hours, the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department has been dispatched to two reported structure fires, an active gas leak, a four vehicle accident along with 8 other EMS emergencies. Thanks to our incredibly trained volunteer and career crews along with support  and amazing teamwork with our mutual aid departments (Showell, Berlin and Bishopville) all calls for service we promptly answered. Outside of calls for service, our members have also participated in board meetings, volunteer drill nights, a career staff training day, and participated in meetings with the Ocean Pines Association.  While you might not always hear or see our emergency vehicles out on the streets, never doubt that we are all still training hard and working diligently to keep our apparatus and our membership ready to respond at a moment's notice.
