On Thursday, June 6th, at approximately 8:30 PM, the Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department was alerted for a Rescue Box for a motor vehicle accident involving a rollover and entrapment. Additional units from Berlin Fire Company and Showell Volunteer Fire Department were also dispatched to assist.
Upon arrival, personnel found a Honda Ridgeline on its side in a driveway in the 600 Block of Ocean Parkway. Firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and extricated the occupant through the vehicle's sunroof. After evaluation by Ocean Pines Paramedics, the occupant was transported to Tidal Health in Salisbury via Medivac Trooper 4.
Ocean Parkway was shut down in both directions for approximately 45 minutes.
The scene was turned over to the Ocean Pines Police Department for further investigation.
