Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department Elects New Officers

Ocean Pines, MD — The Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department (OPVFD) is proud to announce the results of its recent officer elections, establishing the department’s leadership for the upcoming term.

The newly elected Administrative and Executive Officers are:

• President: Joe Enste

• Vice President: David Van Gasbeck

• Board of Director: Rob Eicher

• Board of Director: Steve Ready

• Board of Director: Steve Giannini

The following Fire Operations Command Staff were also confirmed:

• Fire Chief: Joey Widgeon

• 1st Assistant Chief: Chris Rathel

• 2nd Assistant Chief: Steve Grunewald

These officers will provide leadership and oversight as the department continues its mission to deliver professional, reliable fire, rescue, and emergency services to the Ocean Pines community.

The Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department extends its appreciation to all members who stepped forward to serve and participate in the election process. Officers for Fire Operations and Fire Police positions will be announced at a later date.
