OPVFD Announces Fifth Annual Holiday Train Display Presented by Serpone’s Pizzeria

Free community tradition opens November 28 at the Ocean Pines Community Center

OCEAN PINES, Md. — The Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce its fifth annual OPVFD Train Display, presented by Serpone’s Pizzeria. Opening night will be Saturday, November 28, 2026, in coordination with Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks’ Hometown Christmas event.

This year’s display will be located in the Marlin Room at the Ocean Pines Community Center, 235 Ocean Parkway. Admission is free, continuing OPVFD’s tradition of welcoming families and visitors to enjoy the display at no cost.

Attracting more than 2,000 guests each year, the train display has become a favorite holiday tradition, bringing together visitors of all ages to enjoy model trains and take part in an interactive scavenger hunt.

OPVFD thanks presenting sponsor Serpone’s Pizzeria, along with confirmed sponsors Dandy Don’s Bike Rentals, Preston Automotive Group, and McGee Fence, for helping make this free holiday tradition possible. Their generosity helps keep the display free and welcoming for the entire community.

Additional sponsors are still needed to support this year’s event. A Scavenger Hunt Sponsorship is available for $250 and includes:

• Prominent placement of the sponsor’s name or logo within the train display.

• Inclusion in the scavenger hunt, with the sponsor’s name serving as an answer to one of the questions.

• Recognition in event-related social media posts.

• Recognition on event flyers distributed throughout the community.

Local businesses, organizations, and individuals are invited to join this year’s sponsors in supporting a holiday tradition enjoyed by thousands.

Additional display dates and visiting hours will be announced.
