Landing Zone (South Ocean Pines Helipad)

At 3:29pm on Thursday, July 16, 2020, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for an EMS call for a subject that had fallen approximately 15 feet from a roof. Paramedics made contact with the patient and quickly determined that due to the severity of injuries, a Maryland State Police MedEvac Air Ambulance would need to be requested. Once MSP confirmed Trooper 4 was available, the Ocean Pines VFD was alerted for a landing zone at the Helipad at 911 Ocean Parkway. After stabilization, the patient was transported to the Helipad and care of the patient was transferred to paramedics aboard MSP Trooper 4. Once the helicopter took flight, all units returned to their respective stations.
