The OPVFD hosted a Water Rescue drill on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, in the area of the Ocean Pines Swim & Racquet Club Pool. Volunteers and career staff learned about techniques and tools that could be used from land to rescue an individual in the water. Additionally, Rescue Boat 11 was launched and crews worked on properly securing patients to backboards while in the water and bringing the patients aboard the boat.
