At 10:19am on Thursday, August 20, 2020, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on Racetrack Road, near the Ocean Expressway Overpass. Upon arriving on scene, Chief Grunewald established command and confirmed a multi-vehicle accident with one patient, no entrapment. The patient was transported to Peninsula Regional Hospital for further evaluation and after a brief period of cleanup for debris, the scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police for further investigation.
