At 9:18am on Friday, August 21, 2020, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a natural gas leak. Engine 1102 arrived first on scene and confirmed an active leak and deployed their front bumper line. Chief Grunewald established command and requested that Sandpiper Energy respond to repair the damaged gas line. Once the active leak was contained, the scene was turned over to Sandpiper Energy for further investigation and repairs.
