At 11:42pm on Friday, November 6, 2020, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a vehicle fire on Racetrack Rd in the area of Emory Dr. Chief Grunewald was first on scene, established command, and confirmed a single vehicle with fire in the engine compartment. Upon arrival, engine 1102 deployed their front bumper line and was able to quickly extinguish the fire before it spread into the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Upon extinguishment, the scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police & the Worcester County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.
