At 5:18pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle belonging to the Ocean Pines Police Department. 1100 Paramedic 2 was first to arrive on scene and confirmed a two vehicle accident with two patients. Upon arriving on scene, First Assistant Chief Widgeon established command and requested Engines 1101 & Heavy Rescue 11 take blocking positions. Both patients were evaluated by paramedics and transported to Atlantic General Hospital.The scene was turned over to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.
