MVC w/Injuries

At 8:10am on Thursday, June 24, 2021, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in the area of Racetrack Rd and Manklin Creek Rd. 1100 Paramedic 2  first arrived on scene and confirmed the initial report and advised one occupant was still in their vehicle. Paramedic/Firefighter Tomaselli assumed command and requested crews from Rescue 11 & Engine 1101 secure the vehicles and check for fluids in the roadway. Occupants were evaluated on scene and two refused further medical treatment at the time of the incident while one was transported to Atlantic General Hospital. After a brief period of cleanup, the scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police Department for further investigation. 

REMEMBER: When driving near an accident scene, please do your part and stay alert!

  • Proceed through the scene slowly when directed to do so 
  • Look for signs indicating what you should do 
  • Watch out for emergency services personnel walking around the scene 
  • Watch out for emergency vehicles arriving and departing the scene 
  • Do not stare at the accident scene or flashing lights while your vehicle is in motion
