At 10:45pm on Friday August 27, 2021, the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident in the area of McDonalds on Racetrack Road; Worcester Central advised that two vehicles were involved. 1100 Paramedics 1 & 3 arrived on scene first and confirmed the initial report while 1st Assistant Chief Widgeon established command. Upon further investigation, it was determined to be a head-on collision. Three patients were evaluated on scene and transported to Tidal Health in Salisbury. After a brief period of cleanup, the scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police Department for further investigation.
